We bought the woods in 2001 but didn’t open the garden until 4 years ago although we had been having charity 2 day events for the past 9 years, the garden has evolved from a place where we could hang out and relax and dig a few ponds to people asking if they could visit....
The squirrels are only fed a few peanuts, which the jays and nuthatch also enjoy, I have a bird feeder for the smaller birds so I can use my camera and the fish are fed in the warm seasons, other than that they find natural foods…....

Yes, we welcome families. They will be able to enjoy playing games and walks through the gardens....
Yes, children are welcome in the garden but with deep ponds in the gardens, under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult....
Squirrels, rabbits, badgers do live in the gardens however they are not around till night time, bats are visible at dusk....
Yes, you are welcome to have a barbeque providing you supply your own BBQ and food. Please note all waste/rubbish must be disposed of by you....

There is a bus stop in Newbridge which is 1000yds from the gardens, but please be aware that there is no pavement leading up to the garden entrance. The bus route runs at regular intervals between Penzance and St Just....
Always wear sensible footwear as ground can be a bit wet or uneven. Light waterproof clothing can also be worn in case of showers....
There are a wide range of activities you can partake in, sit and read, meditate, play giant lawn chess, play Smite, observe wildlife, paints, drawing pad, picnic/barbeque, photography, meet friends, bring a group, for example, gardeners, painters, and photographers are very welcome....
Tanglewood Gardens covers 9 acres made up of 6 acres woodland and 3 of ponds and walkways...
We have a refreshments available at our cake hut. The cake hut is only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00 am – 3:30 pm. You are also welcome to bring your own picnic or hold a barbecue…...
Tanglewood Gardens is home to a vast array of wildlife. In the wood there are squirrels, rabbits and badgers. Birds that have been spotted include: jays, woodpeckers, nuthatch and Kingfishers, wild duck, heron, Canada geese, Muscovy ducks, Teal, Snipe, and moorhens can all be seen around the ponds…. Above the car park our new rookery...
Yes you can! To experience the whole garden and all the hidden gems takes 1 to 2 hours and longer if you bring a picnic. However this is an average time, some people only stay for 30 minutes and some will stay all day....

We originally bought Tanglewood Gardens in 2001 as a place to have fun in. It was officially made an open garden in 2014 and since then has evolved into the garden it is today. It has taken a lot of hard work to dig out the ponds and plant across the gardens....

Woodland, mature trees, bluebells March/April, lots of plants and wild....
All the common garden birds, long tailed tit, goldcrest, woodpeckers, jays, nuthatch, Canada geese, heron, ducks, moorhens....
