I remember some friends talking about these gardens last year and we just never made it there. We popped down earlier this month on a sunny but non beach weather day!

We had a fabulous time and our girls who are 3 and 1 enjoyed themselves immensely. There are new magical things to be found around every corner. I love the fact that there are no formal facilities. We took a picnic and took in the scenery and wildlife. Perfect hidden little gem. Totally recommend

This is a wonderful gem of a wild garden. When you walk in there's fairy doors in the trees and little post boxes with names on, it gives an enchanted feeling. To pay for entry you need correct money (adults £6, children £3, under 5's free). Dogs are welcome on leads. There's lots of ponds and as you walk around there is so much to discover; little fairy trinkets, rope swings, games, bridges, huts, quirky benches/seating areas. I felt a lot of love had gone into making this garden really special. There is no gift shop or cafe, the only facilities is a compost toilet but I feel this is a good thing as 1) there's no extra costs when you get in 2) if u want food and drink you're welcome to bring your own 3) it doesn't have that commercialised feeling that most other visitor gardens have. I visited during summer holidays and it was not busy as advertising is mainly through word of mouth. My sons aged 9 and 3 both thoroughly enjoyed it and as soon as we left they were asking to go back. I can't wait to go back either

What a wonderful place. There is something different at every turn: adolescent boys were engaged and children enchanted. There are also so many places to sit and be still. Cannot recommend it enough
